Nipsey Hussle’s generosity was no secret to the people of Los Angeles nor his fans, so it’s not surprising that at the time of his untimely and tragic death, he was in the middle of doing something positive.
Sources connected to Nipsey told @TMZ_tv that he was at his Marathon Clothing store on Sunday afternoon because he was taking care of a friend who had just gotten out of jail after serving a 20-year bid.
Nipsey wanted to give his friend some new clothes so the friend could look good before meeting up with his family and friends later that day.
Nipsey reportedly didn’t notify his team nor his primary security guard that he would be going to his store solo because it was a spur of the moment thing, and sources said no one in his camp knew he left his home.
Nipsey’s friend is one of the two other people who were injured in Sunday’s shooting. The other man was reportedly Nipsey’s friend’s nephew, who drove him to Marathon Clothing.
Eric Holder is currently being held on $7 million bail for Nipsey’s murder in solitary confinement. He is accused of walking up on Nipsey and his friends and firing multiple rounds before fleeing in a waiting car.
Video shows the gunman circle back to shoot Nipsey multiple times and kick him before leaving.
Nipsey was pronounced dead shortly after at a hospital from his gunshot wounds.
Holder was brought into custody Tuesday after a 2-day manhunt. Authorities officially identified him late Monday night.
The Los Angeles Police Department said its investigators believe Holder shot Nipsey over a personal dispute.
We continue to keep Nipsey’s family, friends and fans in our prayers, and will continue to follow this story as well as celebrate Nipsey’s legacy.
